Visitation
Loud knocking interrupted my slumber and I started to panic. My initial reaction was to jump out of my bed and book it, but fear had me shaking in my bed, covering myself in my blanket, hoping they would just go away.
“Let me in, let me in!” the voice screamed. “Don’t make me knock down this door”
“Leave me alone,” I screamed. “I have nothing for you, please leave me alone.”
A moment passed and the intruder shot a hole in the door and the hand of the intruder started looking for the doorknob.
“I have a sword,” I lied to the intruder. “Don’t make me cut your precious hand off you idiot.”
“Jeremy,” the voice responded. “I know you don’t have a sword and you wouldn’t hurt me.”
“How the hell do you know that??” I questioned.
“I know everything about you, Jeremy.” The voice creepily responded.
Jeremy started to recognize this voice, not many people knew where Jeremy lived and the fact that he didn’t own any weapons wasn’t common knowledge.
Not Pauline, I thought to myself. She hasn’t left me alone since I broke up with her, I never thought of her as crazy, but this is insane.
Petrified Jeremy laid in his bed awaiting Pauline. He knew it was over. Nothing he could do about his visitor in the night.
