Snowy day outside
“I can’t believe we are stuck outside,” Noah said while shivering in his huge jacket. “Why did I forget to bring the keys?”
Noah had just gotten off the bus
and when he went to open the door he realized he had forgotten his keys. He had
told all his friends he would join them for their DnD session after he changed
out of his school clothes but was not stuck waiting outside. The only option he
had was calling his mom and he was dreading the phone call.
“Mom,” Noah said. “When are you
coming home?”
“I will be coming home at 4pm today
Noah,” his mom responded. “Why do you ask?”
“Nothing Mom,” Noah said while
kicking the snow around. “Just get home safe.”
“Noah,” his mom said in an angry
tone. “Don’t tell me you forgot your keys again.”
“Yes Mom,” Noah admitted. “I forgot
them again.”
Noah’s mom proceeded to give him
another long conversation about responsibility. Noah needed to wait another
hour before mom got home and he hated waiting outside. He didn’t have anything
to do outside and he just sat on his porch just dreaming of the crazy things
that would happen in their DnD sessions.
