Keep your eyes on the road Barry

 “Keep your eyes on the road Barry,” Janet asked while looking back at the cop car that had been following them.

“I know I will,” Barry responded completely ignoring his wife and continuing to stay hooked on his phone.

“Barry there’s a cop who’s been following us for the last 2 miles,” Janet responded. 

“I know I will stop looking at my phone,” Barry said continuing to stare at his phone. 

“What is wrong with you Barry?” Janet questioned. “You always do this kind of thing at the worst possible time.”

“I know,” Barry admitted. “It’s a force of habit but you always ”

The cop car was getting closer and closer to Barry and Janet’s car. The cop was inching forward to see if Barry was still on his phone so he could pull him over.  The cop was surprised to see the couple engage in a shouting match and could hear each and every single word. The phone Barry was holding was no longer in sight and he was focused on the argument. 

“I’ll let them go for now,” The cop said to himself while laughing at the situation and drove ahead of them.
