Man asks Woman out

  Man wants to ask a woman out on a date. This situation is particularly intriguing because it is a great

example of the mindset of a nonexpressive individual. Not every man is confident with women and most

men struggle with this situation. The man assumes he has piqued the interest of a woman he is attracted to

and intends to mingle and evolve this interest into love. Man is very uncomfortable speaking to women

because his only real relationship with a woman was with his own mother so he is not entirely sure what

to say. Of course, the woman’s mindset may vary as well. Woman believes this man may be the one she

was searching for her whole life. Her experiences with men have been stares from afar and romantic films

where the man sweeps the woman up off the ballroom floor and into the sunset. She believes in chivalry

and that a man should have the courage to make the first move. Meanwhile, Man has zero clues as to what

he should say to yield the reply he desires. When the two eventually interact once again, Man wants to

ask in a setting where he and Woman are comfortable and no hostile. Man takes into account which

cologne she responds well to and mannerisms that she appreciates to present himself as the ideal suitor.

Scene: Man, dressed in black jeans, white tee, and black leather jacket approaches Woman, dressed in her

usual blue jeans and pink tee with her hair tied in a neat bun. Man asks Woman how her day has been so

far as to assess her general mood. Woman responds with a simple “Yeah it was alright. And you?”. Man

replies with a similar answer followed by a pretty vulnerable, “May I ask you something?”. Woman leans

into the question and asks, “Sure. What’s up?”. Man drops the question “Want to go on a date this

Saturday at 6?” followed by a location suitable for a first date. Woman answers, “Yeah let’s do it”. Fin.

Quite a short one but lots of brainstorming happened to get to that point. As well as pheromones, sexual

attraction, and exposure.
